Don't confuse this service with those ping/port check products selling on
the Internet for
around $100 per Month. This is a very high end,
comprehensive, managed monitoring service using BMC Software Patrol agent
and knowledge module technology. Our Computer Server Monitoring Service includes a total
understanding of Operating system parameters, processes and log file
entries. For a nominal additional cost, knowledge modules for most popular
applications and databases can be added. This is the very same software that
we use for our professionally staffed, proactive service availability
monitoring Customers.
BMC Patrol has very powerful recovery action capabilities that can
restart/restore failed services safely and automatically if desired.

Vigilance Monitoring will install, configure and baseline all required
software including console servers, agents and knowledge modules. Warnings and alarms can
be sent to pagers, e-mail addresses or to your own trouble ticket system.
Alternately, we can provide a dedicated POP e-mail address and/or access
to our fully featured trouble ticket system. Vigilance will manage your
monitoring environment and will install patches, updates and so on as
required. We will also modify alert threshhold settings at your
request.

use all of the PRODUCTS that BMC
or their Partners provide.

$150 per month, per server (no, that's not a misprint!)
$250 setup fee per server
NOTE: Effective January 1, 2005, the setup fee will increase to $500

We invite you to shop this price. We are confident that you won't find
anything even close to these capabilities at this price. And should you
decide that you really need a monitoring solution
that takes advantage of our professionally staffed NOC, it's a very easy
upgrade!
We support all operating systems including UNIX, Linux, as400 and
Microsoft. Knowledge modules for specific applications are available at an
additional cost: Oracle, Informix, Exchange, Domino, Websphere, MQ, JDE,
Peoplesoft, SAP, etc. We can also provide desktop monitoring support if desired.
BMC Patrol supports a wide variety of "plug in" products that
can significantly increase the monitoring level of coverage which we can
provide if desired. And if you
need something that isn't currently available from our Vendors, we can
probably custom design something for you at our development rate of $250 per hour.
$150 per month is too much? Then look into our
hardware health
monitoring service for $50 per month per server or $250 per month for an
unlimited number of servers in the same data center. But, at only $150 per
month, we feel that our service won't have to correct many problems in a year's time
before it more than pays for itself!
